Ho Ho Ho It's Magic!!!!

you knoooow! Kinda. We learned how to face swap in my photo class today! It's exciting! I practiced with a couple of photos I took on my birthday of my brother and dad. My bros wouldn't look at the camera at the same time and it killed me! But I changed that!

BUT FIRST! I must show this photo this way cause it cracked my dad up so much! I cut it into three parts to make it look like this. Take your time looking at the first two handsome guys. You'll get a kick out of the last!

So here are the two photos that I wanted to combine. Michael and my dad are looking at the camera, but Matt isn't.

Here, Matt is looking at the camera...but my dad and Michael aren't! GRRRRR!

BAM! Now ALL three of them are looking at the camera! Crazy huh???

Landscapes

So...I gotta retake a color photography class again this semester cause I barely passed it with a "D" the first time I took it. The first assignment was about landscapes and since I FINALLY have a car, I did some adventuring! I went out to Kelly Canyon with some friends and just snapped snapped snapped the whole  time! And these are what  I came up with:

I really liked this one...but my teacher said he hates dandelions -______-

We also did some panoramas in class!

Snake River

Snake River with a field
Not Kelly Canyon...just the duck pond at Nature Park

I really enjoyed making the panoramas so I went ahead and made my own just for fun!

Wellllll.....

I failed to keep my blog updated last semester...obviously! I was too busy trying not to fall behind but also busy hanging out and making new friends! Haha Anyway, I can't show you half of what I did or submitted last semester, but I CAN show you the photos I submitted for my final portfolio in Studio Lighting...it's been awhile, and I don't remember which pictures I actually submitted...so forgive me for that! Here are the ones that I think I turned it!
portrait with proper lighting #1

proper lighting of a box

proper lighting of metal

texture

Properly lit portrait #2 (had I know how to do accenting then, this photo would've looked even better!)

Lighting glass (I cropped the black strip out for my final)

Goldfish

this post isn't about that...but I do have the mind similar to that of a goldfish. I keep telling myself to post photo stuff in my blog...but forget so quickly! Anyway, I'll post one picture of an assignment I did recently.

Okay...maybe two!

Lights and stuff done...playing with "gels" (pieces of colored plastic that we place in front of the background light) and that's how we got two different backgrounds....this is Twiggy by the way. Isn't she just a fashionista with that snazzy scarf?

Studio Lighting = my death

So, I'm taking a studio lighting class this semester. I didn't plan on it. I was only going to be taking Photo III this semester but I found out that I can't take Studio Lighting at the same time as Portrait Photography. So...yeah...and it's proving to be very difficult! I'm dying! Anyway, I'll show you why.....

Anyway...this is the second part of the assignment. I apparently didn't save the first part on my flash drive....my bad. Anyway, the assignment involved taking a serious of photos at different exposure with and without the studio flash. And so this is what it is. The last two rows were done wrong too I believe.....I hope this class doesn't kill me this semester!

A SUPER late post about a Wedding

So I know these are past due, but these are just a tiny few of the pictures from the Van Camp wedding...they're edited, but most not the way I had wished for....

I mostly messed with the color and saturation on this one just to see what would come out...and I liked it!

These two are goobers when they're together

I didn't think of getting a picture of Stephen's flower -____-

Because our sweet little Chelsea is on her mission!

I read somewhere that when you are photographing a wedding, it's nice to get a photo of the groom as his bride is walking down the aisle...so that's what I tried to do here.

I thought it was cute at how Stephen fumbled with the veil as he was about to kiss his bride.

The wedding party

my backgrounds are really blown out, but I like that you can see the valley from this view

I just love this lady!

I didn't have an external flash (and didn't want to use the built in one) so the low light photos came out preeeeetty weird

love the feelings you get from this photo

centerpiece with the Bride's bouquet

a really bad night shot...but once again! The valley!

Stephen and Crystal Engagement Sesh

So, today I had a shoot with Stephen and his lovely fiancee! These too, you can really tell that they compliment each other really well! Even though I was nervous as heck trying to get really good pictures for these two, I'd say that I got some really good pics! So here are the best ones [or the ones that are my favorite]. Also, they're all unedited right now...working on a way to get some program to do some editing :)

Don't know why, but I really like this one! It's like they're looking towards the future or something :D
